It is a joy for us to introduce our editorial board—two lay persons, two women religious, two religious brothers, two priests—every one of them either a media specialist and/or a highly regarded religious deeply aware of the issues affecting religious, priests and laity today. We at MAGNET feel proud and grateful for having such a distinguished Editorial Board. Here are our stars:

Br. Joseph Philip Pinto CFC:

A Christian Brother for over 50 years, as teacher, provincial and Congregational Leader. Learnt from his mother, a convert to Christianity, respect for different religions. Was National CRI president, an experience he feels broadened his horizons enormously. Loves Scripture and Literature. Now on the Renewal Team of his province and some work with other Congregations.

Br. Paul Raj SG:

Brother Paul Raj is a member of the Congregation of Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel. He holds a Licentiate in Systematic Theology, M.A in Political Science and a PhD in Multicultural Studies from Madras University. Currently he is a General Councillor of the Congregation residing in Rome

Fr. M.A. Joe Antony SJ:

Editor, Jivan, the magazine of South Asian Jesuits, and the executive secretary of and advisor to the Provincial Superior of Jesuits in Tamil Nadu. For 20 years he edited the New Leader and gave it a new life and reputation.

Fr. Jose Murickan O.Praem (Norbertine)   

Director, NISCORT (National Institute for Social Communications, Research and Training). Has a Doctorate in Social Communications from Gregorian University, Rome, with Specialization in Visual Media. Teaching Experience: Visiting faculty in Different Institutes in India

Sr. Mariola Sequeira MSA:

Professor in Sophia College, Ajmer; active in prison ministry, and hence “in and out of courts, jails and police stations”; was awarded Stree Shakti Puruskar from the President of India in 2015.Member of Rajasthan minorities commission. Teacher-activist.

Sr. Ranjana UMI:

She has a  Master’s degree in Social Communications from Pontifical Gregorian University; teaches communication as well as conducts workshops on media literacy for students and teachers.

She has worked in Vatican Radio as a correspondent.  Interested in developing women religious communicators.

Mr. Jose Kavi:

Jose Kavi is the Editor-in-Chief of Matters India (www.mattersindia.com), a news portal that was launched in March 2013 to highlight social and religious matters. Earlier, he was the India Bureau Chief of UCA News, Asia’s largest Church news agency, for 25 years. The former Jesuit seminarian has also worked with United News of India and South Asian Religious News

Ms. Bernadette Morris:

Programme Manager in the Commission for Evangelization, Archdiocese of Delhi for the past six years.. After completing her Masters in Mass Communication from AJK- MCRC, Jamia University, she joined Star Television network as an Associate Producer. Post her two year stint at Star, she felt drawn to serve the Catholic Church.
