All of us know the meaning of goal and goalpost in football, don’t we?
What makes the game such a thrill is the way each team tries to dodge the opponents and shoot a goal. We have seen and heard the almost ecstatic reaction of the players and the fans when one’s team shoots a goal. Without such friendly “fights” between two teams, there would be no football match. Just to dribble the ball aimlessly on the field would make no sense.
This is much more the case in our life, too.
People work hard to achieve something—to build a happy family, to earn money to feed and educate their children, or simply to become rich or to possess luxuries. Human beings, unlike animals, work hard to reach some goals.
What is my goal in writing this article?
There is no financial gain in doing this. But if at least some of the readers go through this article and find it useful, then the time and effort I put into it are well spent. Just to sit at the computer and write something does not make sense.
