- come from a Credible Source (news / media channel)
- have proper mention of Date (not just now, yesterday or two months ago)
- have proper mention of Place (city, locality, region, country)
- have a verifiable link to media website (URL)
Please verify before forwarding to others. - have proper journalistic terminology and formatting
- Similar news articles should be found in other credible/reputable news agencies
WHAT TO DISCARD IMMEDIATELY
- Chain messages
- Messages promising some Prize / Bonus / Free Gift
- Messages that threaten you with imminent disaster
if you don’t forward them to 10 / 25 / 100 persons - Claims of some international prize being awarded /
some achievement being realised (without evidence) - Reports claiming fantastic / supernatural / miraculous occurrences
- Messages inciting hate, discrimination, violence against individuals or groups of people
- Media containing violence / obscenity / vulgarity
- Messages casting allegations / aspersions
on persons / groups / institutions (without any evidence)
